Indonesia Tourist Arrivals Rise 4.86% YoY in October
Foreign tourist arrivals in Indonesia rose by 4.86 percent year-on-year to 1.35 million in October 2019. The number of visitors in Bali resort island, the center of Indonesian tourism industry, went up 9.88 percent to 566.1 thousand. Also, tourist arrivals in Batam advanced 12.7 percent to 159.2 thousand. In contrast, visitors in Jakarta dropped by 22.7 percent to 189.2 thousand. Tourists came mostly from Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, and Thailand. Considering the first ten months 2019, the number of tourist arrivals rose by 2.85 percent to 13.6 million. For 2019, Indonesia set a target of 20 million foreign tourist arrivals, compared to 15.81 million in 2018.

Indonesia Tourist Arrivals Rise in September
Foreign tourist arrivals in Indonesia rose by 2.15 percent year-on-year to 1.40 million in September 2019. The number of visitors in Bali resort island, the center of Indonesian tourism industry, went up 6.16 percent to 590 thousand. Also, tourist arrivals in Batam advanced 4.12 percent to 160 thousand. In contrast, visitors in Jakarta dropped by 14.93 percent to 213 thousand. Tourists came mostly from Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, and Thailand. Considering the first nine months 2019, the number of tourist arrivals rose by 2.63 percent to 12.27 million. For 2019, Indonesia set a target of 20 million foreign tourist arrivals, compared to 15.81 million in 2018.

Foreign tourist arrivals in Indonesia rose by 2.94 percent year-on-year to 1.55 million in August 2019. The number of foreign visitors in Bali resort island, the center of Indonesian tourism industry went up 7.64 percent to 615 thousand. Also, tourist arrivals in Batam advanced 15.61 percent to 181.1 thousand. In contrast, foreign visitors in Jakarta dropped by 18.05 percent to 252.9 thousand. Tourists mostly increased from Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines, but declined from Thailand. Considering the first eight months 2019, the number of tourist arrivals rose by 2.67 percent to 10.87 million. For 2019, Indonesia set a target of 20 million foreign tourist arrivals, compared to 15.81 million in 2018.

Indonesia Tourist Arrivals Fall 4.1% YoY in July
Foreign tourist arrivals in Indonesia dropped by 4.1 percent from a year earlier to 1.48 million in July 2019. The number of foreign visitors in Bali resort island, the center of Indonesian tourism industry fell by 3.17 percent to 604.5 thousand. Also, tourist arrivals were down in Jakarta (-17.01 percent to 267.9 thousand). In costrast, foreign visitors grew in Batam (2.75 percent to 149.2 thousand). Tourists mostly declined from the Philippines, but rose from Malaysia, Singapore, and Vietnam. Considering the first seven months 2019, the number of tourist arrivals rose by 2.63 percent to 9.31 million. For 2019, Indonesia set a target of 20 million foreign tourist arrivals, compared to 15.81 million in 2018.

Foreign tourist arrivals in Indonesia rose 9.94 percent from a year earlier to 1.45 million in June 2019. The number of foreign visitors were up in Bali resort island, the center of Indonesian tourism industry (1.71 percent to 549.7 thousand), followed by Jakarta (4.69 percent to 191.4 thousand), and Batam (5.25 percent to 176.2 thousand). Tourists came mostly from Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines and Thailand. Considering the first sixth months of the year, the number of tourist arrivals grew by 4.01 percent to 7.83 million. For 2019, Indonesia set a target of 20 million foreign tourist arrivals, compared to 15.81 million in 2018.

Foreign tourist arrivals in Indonesia rose 1.1 percent from a year earlier to 1.26 million in May 2019. The number of foreign visitors were up in Batam (2.76 percent to 146.08 thousand), while fell in Bali resort island, the center of Indonesian tourism industry (-7.70 percent to 485.76 thousand), as well as in Jakarta (-17.96 percent to 157.22 thousand). Tourists came mostly from Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines and Thailand. Considering the first five month of the year, the number of tourist arrivals grew by 2.70 percent to 6.37 million. For 2019, Indonesia set a target of 20 million foreign tourist arrivals, compared to 15.81 million in 2018.
