Year-on-year, cost eased for food & non-alcoholic beverages (2.8 percent compared to 3.4 percent in June); miscellaneous goods & services (1.2 percent compared to 1.4 percent); education (2.5 percent compared to 2.6 percent) and recreation & culture (0.4 percent compared to 0.5 percent). Additionally, prices of communication dropped faster (-2.7 percent compared to -2.6 percent).
On the other hand, cost increased further for transport (2.5 percent compared to 1.7 percent); housing & utilities (12.3 percent compared to 12.0 percent); clothing & footwear (2.4 percent compared to 2.2 percent); furnishings & household equipment (2.6 percent compared to 2.4 percent); restaurants & hotels (0.8 percent compared to 0.7 percent) and alcoholic beverages & tobacco (0.8 percent compared to 0.3 percent).
On a monthly basis, consumer prices declined 0.3 percent, after falling 0.4 percent in June. Main downward pressure came from food and non-alcoholic beverages (-1.3 percent); health (-0.5 percent) and communication (-0.1 percent).
Annual core inflation, which excludes food and energy, stood at 1.6 percent, the same as in June.
